Numicon - Maths
The use of Numicon is an approach to teaching that has been adopted in Ysgol Tŷ Ffynnon and we were the first school in Wales to be awarded Numicon Advocate School status. The programme encourages the use of apparatus and practices skills to enable all children to apply these skills in all areas of their Maths learning.
Staff and pupils have embraced this way of learning and we feel that the children have gained confidence in their mathematical abilities.
